洞爺湖 Toyako 2016.10.2

After leaving Shikotsuko, I drove all the way to another famous lake, Toyako.

The two lakes were formed by volcano action and they are non-freezing lakes in Hokkaido. Toyako is the third largest in Japan.

First stopped for an overview of the lake.  I tasted a small bottle of mango lassi at the tuck shop, yammy : )

There are 4 islands in the middle of the lake: 中島、觀音島、弁天島 and 饅頭島

有珠山噴火記念公園 Usuzanfunka Memorial Park

Another stop to view the beautiful lake, at southern shore. 

洞爺湖八景 (浮見堂)

洞爺湖温泉、壮瞥温泉、滝之上キャンプ場、仲洞爺キャンプ場、財田湖畔、浮見堂、月浦展望台、中島

It is at the northern shore, I was led by the GPS with the wrongly scripted code, following a narrow path around the lake.
